Lewis in now 7 months old and has been on 3 meals a day since 6 months. We started him on solids when he was 4 months, as he was sculling his bottles of formula and wanting more, and was also seeming interested in food.
This is how I'm structuring the day at the moment.
Basically the bottles (4 x 180ml) are between meals, which stops the need for snacks. The formula box says 4 x 240ml bottles a day plus 3 meals, but Lewis can't drink that much in one session and often struggles to finish 180mls. If he doesn't finish it, I give the remainder to him after the next meal.

- 6am: Early morning in bed: Bottle, then back to sleep
- 8:30/9am: Brekky (rice cereal with fruit puree and yoghurt) some water after.
- 10/10:30am: Nap for 40 minutes - 1.5 hours
- 11:30am when wakes: Bottle
- 12:30pm: Lunch (3 cubes of mashed veg and lentils plus tsp of quinoa)
- 1:30/2pm: Nap
- 3/3:30pm: Wake and Bottle
- 4:30/5pm: Dinner (Finger food of steamed or roasted veg, followed by mashed avocado and some lentil stew or similar. He loves finger food, but most of it ends up on the floor so he's still hungry; thus the other food afterwards.)
- 6pm-ish: Short nap
- 7pm-ish: Final Bottle
- 8pm-ish: Bed
- If he goes to bed later (often!) we sometimes give another small bottle before bed. (120ml)
Lewis still only eats 2-3 tablespoons of food at each meal, but my friend feeds her baby heaps more, so I guess it just depends on the baby.
