Ditch the gym membership!

Pre-baby I was a total aerobics junky. I always had a membership to a gym, and went to a minimum of three aerobics classes a week. I only went to gyms that offered Les Mills classes, and usually went to Body Attack or Body Step. If you don't know about Les Mills,  classes are always structured the same, so no matter where you are in the world the class will be the same or similar. Which can get a touch boring after a while.

However, post-baby I didn't want to fork out for an expensive gym membership that I might have to quit if I get pregnant again. So now I am a bit of a gym floozy...
I go to two different gyms near my house on a casual basis, and also try to do different kinds of exercise such as running and training in the park.

One gym I attend has Les Mills classes, for when I need my Body Attack fix, but the other one is totally old-school. They do a mix of step moves, normal cardio aerobics (grapevine etc.), free weights and abs. They also run Zumba classes, which are basically dance classes, and I reckon the most fun you can have exercising! And they have Tummy, Hips and Thighs classes, which I think my mum used to go to in the 80's. They are a killer!

When I can't fit a class in, I'll take Lewis to the park with me and do a mix of running, free weights, lunges, squats and whatever else I can think of!

All in all, I much prefer going to different gyms and breaking up my exercise routine. I think it's also better for the body to do different things each week.
